The Firesure® Fire rated ceiling air extraction and air inlet valves are manufactured from powder coated galva-nised steel. Fire Rated Air Valves are a simple cost effective solution, where a recessed ceiling air valves needs to be installed in fire rated floor or ceiling construction.
If a fire occurs, the intumescent material rapidly expands to seal off the air valve to help maintain the fire integrity rating of the ceiling. This limits the risk of fire and heat spread throughout the building.
