A flexible Intumescent sleeve/wrap, that fits around plastic ducting. The Duct Sleeve/Wrap is wound around the duct and secured with a self adhesive tab.
Once wound around the duct and secured, just slide into place and make good edges and surface with FireSure® Fire & Acoustic Acrylic Sealant or other suitable material.
No metal sleeve is required for use with this product.
The sleeve/wrap is suitable for use where plastic ventilation ducts pass through uninsulated and insulated stud partitioning and solid walls. In a fire the Intumescent expands and closes the hole left by the collapsing duct, so retaining the structures integrity.
In the 100mm stud partition wall 99 minutes fire integrity was achieved for 220x90 ducting and 102 minutes for 204x60 ducting.
