Intumescent Block Grilles

Consists of metal plates clad in intumescent and covered in foil, with a wire mesh frontage. In the event that a fire occurs, the intumescent will expand to seal the grille, preventing fire and smoke from spreading. Intumescent block grilles are suitable for use in ducting pipes.

The block grille is designed to fit into a square or rectangular hole with a tolerance of 2-3mm. The grille should be placed centrally within the aperture and sealed around the edges using Firesure® intumescent acrylic sealant and mechanically secured using screws, or crews and angle strips
