Intumescent Letter Box Liner
Description
The liner is 4mm thick and is encased in durable plastic on three sides. The liner is suitable for openings of up to 280mm x 70mm.Supplied in two parts for ease of installation.

Application
For use in 30 minute fire doors where an aperture has been cut to accept a letter box. In a fire the Intumescent expands, closing the aperture so maintaining the doors integrity. The existing or new flaps must be of suitable design and be fitted to both sides of the door leaf. All other door and ironmongery details should meet the required specification

Installation
Both flaps should be removed, ensure the door aperture is of an appropriate size or adjust accordingly. Ensure an even surface within the aperture and prime the internal face if required to give surface adhesion for the liner. Remove the tape from one half of the liner and fit centrally in the hole (adjusting the size where needed).Unit should be fitted with the adhesive side to the wood. Repeat this process with the other half of the liner. Fix with panel pins. Re-fix letter plates and check that no obstacle exists for the smooth passage of mail etc.
